MEXICANAMERICAN is making its 35mm print debut in Los Angeles as the Closing Night Gala of the 2026 GuadaLAjara Film Festival, thanks to the extraordinary generosity of GLAFF and Labo Digital.
This special West Coast premiere of MEXICANAMERICAN is taking place for one night only on Saturday, November 7 at 7:30 PM at the Linwood Dunn Theater in Hollywood.

ST. LOUIS: 'Mexicanamerican' is coming to a theater near you! MEXICANAMERICAN will be screening at the Dialogues Documentary Festival on Thursday, September 24 at 6:30 PM in the Oriental Theatre in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This screening will also feature a talkback with director Eddie Sánchez immediately following the film. Get your tickets now via this link.
MEXICANAMERICAN will also be playing the New Orleans Film Festival, which runs from October 22 through the 27th. Exact showtimes and tickets for individual screenings will be available on September 25, but you can get passes for the full festival now at neworleansfilmsociety.org.
MEXICANAMERICAN won First Prize for Best Feature Documentary at Flicker’s Rhode Island International Film Festival last week. On behalf of the entire Mexam team, Evelia Filmworks thanks the jury and the good people at Flicker for this outstanding honor.
This accomplishment follows MEXICANAMERICAN’s other successful screenings as the opening night film at CineFestival San Antonio, and as part of the Official Documentary Competition at the 2026 Tribeca Festival, where it took home the Audience Award for Best Documentary Feature.
